2026 Live Cattle Annual Forecast & Strategy Bulletin

The 2026 Live Cattle Annual Forecast & Strategy Bulletin is now available. The Annual Bulletin provides the 2026 Live Cattle PFS Forecast Model projection (what is the PFS Model?), the analysis that explains what trend to expect during the different periods of the year, a general price and time strategy to trade the Live Cattle Futures Market, and ongoing Updates every week during the year to provide a detailed trading approach.

Judge my work from what I did in the past

There is no better way than looking at what I did in the past to judge how I work. Here is an example from the 2024 Annual Bulletin. In the 2024 Live Cattle Annual Bulletin, which was released in December 2023, I wrote: we pay attention to the last days of April, which may create a Key Date to work with; if the market consolidates above the last days of April’s levels, then we may need to be careful and consider a change in the forecast (the market may push higher). 

From the next chart, you can see how the Live Cattle price created a Low in the last days of April 2024, and how the market moved above these levels then; this was a bullish signal, and as I said in advance in my Bulletin, we could expect an up push.

Another significant example comes from the first Update of the year, sent out on January 17, 2024. I posted this chart because of the imminent Key Date that the Live Cattle market was about to face:

 

Please pay close attention to what happened: we were expecting an uptrend through April 2024 and wanted a bullish confirmation.:

My timing analysis provided the confirmation to follow the uptrend. These and many other calls were made in 2024. If you want to read all of them, please let me know, and I will send you all the past Reports.

In 2023, my Forecast performed exceptionally well! I forecast the Top of April 13 right on the day, and then I said that a breakout above it would have triggered a new uptrend until August 2023. Boom, great call. I was not expecting the upswing in September, followed by a sharp decline. With the strong down acceleration in the second half of November, I advised remaining FLAT and waiting for the December 4-7, 2023 time window for the next buying opportunity (even the PFS Forecast Model, released one year earlier, suggested it as a buying opportunity). 2022 was no exception. We have been working with the Live Cattle Futures market for years, and we know that our Forecast Model consistently helps us set expectations. Here is how the  Live Cattle Forecast Model has worked in 2021:

The 2021 Forecast Model for the Live Cattle Market did a good job, forecasting correctly most of the swings. In September-October, the Forecast was a bit late in calling the drop, but I sent an update on August 5, 2021, stating we had to keep SHORTING and providing a precise level to work with. That level allowed us to open a SHORT position at the end of August, riding the subsequent downtrend that began on August 24. I want to remind you that all Annual Forecast Models are issued one year in advance, and the 2026 model is now available in the 2026 Live Cattle Bulletin.
